Top down solutions are not going to work and no single actor can solve the problems of forest management on their own. Partnerships where everyone is working together towards a common goal are critical to progress. But partnerships, just like human relationships, have to be worked on constantly if they are to succeed. And any partnership has to involve the local community who need to own any initiatives aimed at managing the forest. This is one of the Canopy of Friends video clips, created under the Growing Forest Partnership (GFP) initiative, aiming to stimulate debate on new ways to manage the world's forests.
