Connie is a poet, an author, a survivor and a parent of a meth addict. She expresses he feelings about her son's addiction. This is a mother's perprective.
Born in Germany and raised in New York. Cornelia has lived for the past 33 yrs. with her husband in Hawaii. She recently tied for second place in the IBPC with her poem "Toad Festival". Her poems are published in 2008 '09 &'10 issues of Rain Bird, an art and literary journal of Windward Community College, Kaneohe, Hawaii. She received the Kolekolea Honorable Mention in 2010 for her poem "Writing Retreat. She is an up and coming slam poet. She is a "Friend" to the National League of American Pen Women and the Friends of the Library in Honolulu. She subscribes to Blueline Poetry, an online poetry forum, where she posts a poem a day. She is also a member of the Academy of American Poets.
