Leisurely blowing through an hour plus long set, the band seems to have the jam down to a science. Constantly churning with motornik persistence, Tame Impala's live set delivers those hallmarks we love - plenty of Piper -era Floyd, the rhythmic pulse of Can, and the glacial-to-ripping sonics of Ash Ra Tempel. Yet for a band whose influences are well worn, the true skill of this young crop of Aussies is that they're the first band in a long while to take such classic, well known sounds and structures and make them their own.
