This video is a cut down version of my "moving from the studio to live performance" workshop which I have been doing around the place latley... There are a few videos out there of me actually giving this workshop, but I thought I would make one in the studio with some nice screen captures and audio.

It's my method of taking a tune you have made in the studio, and easily converting it into session view in Ableton ready to perform live. I stress that this is a safe and easy way, so you producers don't have to spend hours and hours learning a new technique.

Thanks Tom! You just saved my music carrier.

I've been producing with Live since v1.0, seen lots of video tuts on working with Live but none which gave a cohesive yet flexible way to transform your studio compositions into pieces for performance. Because of this I've only played out once.

ive done this but when i put the loops in new set my last and 2nd chanel doesnt loop right it comes after

This is great, Tom. I've been needing some serious real-world lessons in Ableton to complement my noodling, especially now that I want to move to some live playing. This is the best method I've seen- it's a whole different way of thinking, and a very simple change, too. Great job!
