This short film was shot over two nights for the 2008 A/V SWAP with only three people working (actor, director, camera operator). There were no lighting setups, only existing light sources were used. The gain of the camera was turned up resulting in a gritty appearance. If you pause and look closely, you can see a bit of meaningful imagery on the little photo that is stolen in the story.
It screened in the Houston and New York screenings of A/V Swap. It also screened in Los Angeles in the Beverly Hills Hidef Film Festival. The director, Sharad Patel, received the music (by Chris Webb, Muskratch and Particle) blindly first and was challenged to interpret it with a music video.
Camerawork by Katie McDowell, Starring Matt Tramel
Directed and edited by Sharad Kant Patel
