    loved it! great camera angles (especially with HD Hero!) and really professional edit / postprocessing. the color tones match the mood, and it made me stare for 3 minutes even though i have no experience in mountain biking.. great job :)

    That's why we have to be flexible and not stucked in only one genre of cycling!
    I love road cycling as well, but when I pedal in the mountains and rolling a singlepath ... that's when I am feeling like a child !!!

    Very nice work as always!! :) The color grading was in my opinion spot on and really gives it the nice deep look!!

    da kann ich nur eins zu sagen: du bist 'n freak tom! absolut granate das video! wieso suchst du dir eigentlich keinen mtb-sponsor und schneidest am ende ein video für die und bekommst 10k? ich hab selten so ein krass gutes mtb-video gesehen von kamera, effekten, storytelling und idee. respekt!

    90% of the shots were filmed with a simple Gopro Hero HD, the other 10% were shot with a Canon EOS 550D.

    Das ist die Gopro am Rollbar-Mount. Hab jedoch schon das eine oder andere Case auf diese Weise zerstört... ;-)

    Nice work Draussen, I've been using Vegas and AE recently and have been inspired by your vid on "whats mtb about" to make a small vid myself. We plan to submit it to the local council so they understand what MTB is about and try to get more local trails.
    On a techy note.....what settings did you use to get that colour effect in the "Whats mtb about" vid?
    I saw your last effort too - amazing, keep up the good work.

    Thanks, slammin. I added some contrast, cranked up the yellow in the lights and the blue in the shadows. Finally, I desaturated the whole footage. It's almost a grading cliché...

    Your Mtb movie collection are inspiring. I posted one by one each week just to motivated us to go riding. Now I found out that you used AE Cs5 but one think that I still curious "how to do it" is how did you put "the flashy" or "texture" thing on most your movie that make the movie kind of have a beat in it. Is that transition effects or presets/plugins that you can get it somewhere? I hope you don't mind to share with us, thanks in advance!

    Thanks. What you are referring to are brief snippets of 8mm footage that I multiply/screen/overlay on my clips. You can find stuff like that here on Vimeo or on Youtube.
