The Coleman River Scenic Area is located west of Clayton, Georgia in the Chattahoochee National Forest. The wilderness consists of 330 acres and was dedicated to Georgia's first Forest Ranger, Roscoe “Nick” Nicholson (1887 - 1959) who was instrumental in its acquistiion.
Although officially called a “river” I think its more of a large creek. There is a decent trail that parallels the right side going upstream.
