An intensely personal project, this is a film about Coed-y-Bedw, a nature reserve hidden away in the woodland behind my home in South Wales.
It's a place that I go to unwind, to take time to think and to give thanks for all the little things that are in the end so much greater than me alone.
It's fitting then that I made this film as a labour of love and as a homage to the reserve.
I am deeply indebted to Dr Mary Gillham M.B.E for agreeing to take part, as also to Cliff Woodhead and Robert Jones Parry.
Some technical notes:
shot completely with the Canon HFS100 at 1920 x 1080, edited with Sony Vegas Pro 10 and graded and dubbed with the same programme.
Additional colour grading with FBM Software.
Since this such a large file, I've compressed the film to keep within Vimeo's upload limit, so the quality might have suffered somewhat.
