iTie is a concept for an interactive training software designed to teach users tying a necktie. iTie uses the built-in webcam of modern laptops to track the users face and his necktie.
The user is instructed step by step by an animated necktie which is projected over the user's real necktie. After the animated necktie moves into the next position, the user has to follow and mimic the movement. The animated necktie will only move on with the next step when the user's real necktie laps over with the animated one.
To learn the (many possible) knots by heart iTie also offers a 'Test' modus. In this modus the software offers two different 'next steps' from which the user has to choose the right one.
