Made with Processing. No audio.

Another diversion from the task at hand. Repulsive particles connected by springs being drawn in by a gravitational pull and being spun about by an orbital vector. Some intersection issues and Euler-related issues.

I've always been interested in using things like this to generate complex mattes, but never gotten around to the actual experimentation.

This would be very useful for
    1. Coral
    2. Fungus

and I like the fact that I know how to code this sort of thing. One could very easily get to this end by modifying the bouncyBubbles model, yes? Any chance you will share this source code?

This would be interesting with a slightly thicker line width, in the low quality version you get some moire like patterns.

Have you gotten to work with the ICE on Softimage XSI? I think you'd dig it. It's not as low-level, hands-in-the-mud as coding, but it's still unbelievably powerful. Check out some of the videos here on vimeo or peruse the softimage.com website.
