In the aftermath of the storm
Old fashioned Ham Radio (Analog technology) came again to the rescue when at a critical time,
my 21- year-old Ham radio repeater on top of Ochsner Medical Clinic, (KB5AVY) became one of the few links between New Orleans and the outside world
My daughter, Tirza Dabdoub, captured these dramatic scenes of New Orleans Lakeview flooding.
Inadequate communication was one of the major problems in Katrina emergency response.
