See all Show me
Didn't have a chance to read up on how people are locking the exposure and the other fun stuff that you can do, so this is just a raw test, color corrected and cut to music. I was testing things like lights and darks, shooting into light, motion etc. Shot in less than 20 minutes, edited in less than 20 minutes.

Overall, the quality is incredible. The look is unique and with a tad bit of color correction (and I added a bit of grain) you have something that looks a bit like 16mm film, or Super8. I am impressed, but need to play with it a bit more. Enjoy.

You can also download a rather large H264 version of the movie to see it in better detail.

I like it. A little CC does go a long way. I've always been a fan of this type of "look," and this camera does a great job of getting it.
Nice work! Can't wait to see what you'll do with 60 minutes. : )

    Thanks!

The tune is "See the Sun (alternate version)" by The Kooks. I used MB Looks. Ran a little levels, grain and saturation.

Awesome!!! I can't wait to do more with my D90... you'll find the DOF on the 50 1.4 to be a lot of fun.

    Hi Jason,

What lens did you use? Was it a 50 prime? or something else?

    Thanks,

    Peter

It was the stock lens. With no AE lock or anything. Just took it out of the box and shot this.
