Well the USB drives are about a $100 each, so they aren't that expensive - but Amanda and I both spent some of our rent money... and they we had a lot of help through donations :)

nice... I hate all the packaging that comes with stuff. Every time I buy something new my studio is a wreck for a week. Good luck and keep backing stuff up!

Hey Leslie :) I'm glad too - as of now everything is backed up and safe *knock on wood*... I'm thinking of buying a fire-proof safe from Target... cause now I'm just paranoid.

Sweet. Do you have them all hooked up at once? Do you have a usb hub you'd recommend?

I've only got four drives right now so they're Paul, John, George and Ringo. Also dork. I just bought my first LaCie after my maxtor failed and I lost some data. They definitely seem worth the investment.

Hey Tyler :) Yea, I have everything mounted normally cause they are always backing each other up (with Super Duper)... I bought a Belkin powered USB hub and it seems to be awesome. And I just daisy chained the firewire drives.

Those are awesome names for drives :) which band are you gonna pick names from next?

im thinking of getting a internal 2tb drive for my comp which is around £208 cavaier green (very latest tech) but i think i might have to up date my pentium for speed as i also have a wd 500gb external..

i think the main prob my end is not enough usb sockets thats why i thought of the 2tb..

2TB internal! That would be awesome - I want one of those in my MacBook Pro.

I use a powered USB hub that Belkin makes - it's really great, no dropping since I've got that.
