This video was made a week or 2 before version 3 came out, but from what I can tell the processes shown should be very similar to those of version 3.
- Installation of Wordpress
- Add a theme
- Add a plugin
- Create a post
- Move the blog to a new domain
It's not recommended to use the root user to setup the blog (use a regular user, and use sudo for commands that need root)
Don't use simple dictionary words for passwords as was done in this video. A password should be a combination of letters, numbers and symbols and at least 6 characters long.
Don't make the config file world writable, or at least if you do, change it back to what it was after setting up the blog.
I recommend making the web server user the owner of the Wordpress files -> chown linux.die.net/man/1/chown
