NOTE: this was made in an early version of TouchDesigner. Current versions natively support Kinect for Windows which is a slightly different device than the XBox360 model.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's my first go at using Microsoft Kinect with touchDesigner. Rather than developing a special application, I used the example program that came with the CL NUI kinect drivers

(Kinect Preview 1 11/16/2010 ) and used TouchDesigner's 'screengrab' operator to bring in the camera and depth-map images. The low frame rate was due to my screen capture software. I'll re-do it in lower resolution later on. I was just in a rush to be first kid on my block to show off the new toy - however, I notice Achim beat me to it of course!!!

as the drivers and SDK etc. improve, it will be possible to bring it straight in either as a directshow camera (s?) or using shared memory.
