For those of you not familiar with my work I plan on using this for timelapse purposes to slowly zoom the lens over long periods of time. I've been chipping away at this project during my lunch breaks at work for the past few weeks. The motor was harvested from a meade ds-2000 autostar 494 or 'Milapse' system. I plan on testing it out soon and if the results are good I may decide to make a better looking, more efficiently designed version in the future.

    Nice. But must be very hard to configure for various zoom lenses. If you consider the push/pull varieties and diameters of various zooms out there etc. But a curious toy indeed!!
