The debate was about Question 755, which tells courts in Oklahoma not to consider Sharia in their cases. While I am not a lawyer, I see this as violation of the obvious separation between state and religion. This is snowballing into other states like Tennessee and Louisiana. This law was put on hold recently until further deliberations. The uproar over temporarily freezing this law should be about discriminating against others over bogus concerns and baseless charges. Muslims themselves, including the 30,000 in Oklahoma, accept the fairness of our US civil law and don't seek to replace that with anything else, particularly Sharia! More at my blog: JehanPost.com
