In 2010, Stephen was among a small number of composers chosen to participate in BMI's 'Composing for the Screen' mentorship. Stephen had the opportunity to study some classic scenes, then re-score them using his own interpretations. This is a scene from Zodiac which was originally underscored only with sound design. Stephen's new musical underscore was designed to blend with the existing sound design for a greater effect in the scene. The score was recorded at Dubway Studios in New York, courtesy of BMI.
