As the song is a good old-fashioned murder ballad, and virtually straight narrative to boot, the video follows the story line; it depicts the last day and last thoughts of our unnamed subject (played by Marie Hansen), and the last actions of the man - in this case, also the Narrator - that decided it would be her last day. It’s a dark meditation on the limits and possessive power of love, and the transcendance of death through song. Or, alternatively, a fun song with which to sing along.
