Between life and death and the spaces in Between--
I lost my younger brother to Pancreatic Cancer on December 20, 2006.
My Mother died, a mere three weeks later on January 13, 2007.
A double whammy to be sure.

These videos, more appropriate, these two people,
are two of the most courageous people I've been blessed to know. Luckier still, to call them family.

They fought cancer and
"Did NOT go gentle into the night,"
they LIVED while facing death.
The legacy of love and learning they left behind, still
trails behind them---
Inviting each of us to join in their journey, and learn to fight, and live, even when the odds are stacked up against them, against us!

What I've learned most, is theirs is a story of love.
Love is stronger than death. It is at the core of life and living.

I often find myself looking at the star filled sky-
How vast, ominous and huge it is.
But they are there, surrounded by the most magical, infinite and eternal love-
And they shine, brightly- so I will not lose my way.
On quiet nights and through my joys and sorrows-
I can still hear their whispers...

They taught me about; courage, integrity, dedication,
unconditional and unwavering love.
They are eloquent, gracious, selfless and determined.
I will love them forever and always-

My Beloveds.

Music and song by the always lovely:
Bette Midler.
