Youthbuild: Constructing Opportunity in Birmingham's Communities by Trae Crain and Erin Hennessy. This film was produced as part of the UAB Ethnographic Filmmaking Class 2010 and premiered at the Vulcan Park and Museum series Collective Perspectives. The event "Your Tax Dollars at Work: Documenting Federal Programs in the Magic City" in February 2010 was supported in part by the Ford Foundation Difficult Dialogues Initiative. The students were asked to investigate the economic stimulus spending in their local area. This short documentary film examines one of the American Re-investment and Recovery Act (ARRA) programs in the Birmingham area.
