Like Christina Aguilera, I'm going back to basics. I sort of rushed into computer animation so I'm going back and doing the basic exercises to pick up the bits and pieces that I didn't get the first time around.

Nothing is wrong with your CPU, this animation is not quite 2 seconds long. I am only uploaded it because I want to post it on my blog along with some comparison numbers.

As for me, I never really liked the "before impact" squash. It never made sense. As if the ball knows it's going to impact something?

Much more I like the flattened squash on impact, and then the stretch squash as the ball becomes airborne once again. But your timing is correct.

Thank you. I think the before impact is more of a practice for character animation, right? I keep reading that the character should have a fraction of a second of anticipation.
