Timelapse of hours before the storm followed by slideshow of local post damage as a result of Hurricane Ike.
Immediately following the storm, approximately 99% of Houston and surrounding areas were and are without power and some are expected to remain that way for the next 2 to 3 weeks. Fuel is scarce and ice and food has become a high commodity. I am very fortunate to have friends and family who have been blessed with an early return of power and allowed us to stay with them.
My prayers go out to all of those in hospitals and who are unable to care for themselves during this devastating event.

    What an ominous timelapse

Thanks for the comment Joe! I definitely agree with you. I wanted to portray as much of the mood felt moments before expected landfall of this wicked storm. The music I selected to go along with the timelapse probably didn't hurt either. :)
