Please visit our website and blog. We also have a 1:00 cut out there with music thats great.

This is a spec commercial that we did for fun. We shot it on the RED One camera in 4k resolution (over 2x that of HD). We worked with a great team on this one and we have high hopes. Some shots were overcranked (slo mo) to 120fps. This slows everything down by 5x. So clear that you can watch the fuzz falling off the tennis ball when the racquet strikes it.

this is GREAT! one comment... if it's a spec commercial for Nike... you might want the actor to wear Nikes... not New Balances! ;) HAHA! no biggie just thought it was funny!

    Pathos,
This is a "Nike-like" spec, not specifically a Nike spec. We intentionally left it open to allow for a variety of products to be used. Thanks for your comments.

hello.. What lenses did you use? My RED seems to give me less sharp images. (I use a Nikon lens yet that same Nikon lens is sharper on its original digital camera)

Looks great. Did you need a lot of lighting to allow for 120fps?

We brought out a 500amp generator, a 12-fay, 9-fay, 6-light fay and a couple of open face 2Ks, in addition to some kinos for the CU. To be honest we could have used a lot more, we had the power availability just not the resources-low budget.

Is the light too high (clipped) in a shot is on the 20-second duration of the video? Thanks.

There is definitely a high level of contrast in this piece, on purpose.

did that guy really hit the balls back in the machine?
    nice video btw!

    John-
While he is a very good tennis player, and did come close to hitting the ball in a couple of times during the shoot, we're resorted to using special effects and CG graphics.

    Thanks,
    Tim

Good work! The editing was a bit too fast in the beginning.
