A 90 minutes documentary film with and about the Burns Lake band and the Cheslatta Carrier Nation, two First Nations bands located in north central BC, Canada
FINDING OUR WAY is a 90 minutes documentary, divided into three chapters:
1st- the contagion of colonisation
2nd- high noon in Burns lake
3rd- keeping our heads above water
How can First Nations bands devastated by colonisation move beyond the resulting dysfunction and find their own ways towards social and economic development? And how can non-metropolitan communities that have been divided, indeed segregated, along Native/non-Native lines for more than a hundred years find their way towards reconciliation, reparation, and productive co-existence?
