Karaoke with Of Montreal
New York Magazine hosted a Karaoke night at Studio B in Brooklyn featuring Of Montreal as the live karaoke band. I got up with my friend Amy and traded verses of Sweet Child O' Mine. There are some other great events New York Magazine events coming up as well: nymag.com/nyxny
It's also funny to think that 17 years earlier I was air guitaring in front of a blue screen to Welcome to the Jungle: vimeo.com/clip:20779
Thanks to Dave for sending me the clip.

Buck Flashroy 3 years agoWow, I've never seen something like this before. It seems like such an obviously good idea once you see it. I guess finding a band that are good enough to do it and also willing could be hard - but maybe not in a big city like New York. Looks like a lot of fun. -
keith 3 years agoArlene's Grocery has been doing a version of it for a few years ( arlenesgrocery.net ). It was pretty awesome and Of Montreal pulled it off amazingly well! -
