EXILE is the world's first Opera App for iPad
(Available via Apple iTunes: 10 December 2010 )
“Creating an Opera that you can interact with on an iPad, converting an art form that is traditionally passive to active, it's game changing.” Champagne Valentine, Amsterdam.
An interactive music video, EXILE iPad App combines the exquisite drama of Helen Gifford’s chamber opera with the extraordinarily textured generative visuals of cult digital media artists Champagne Valentine (champagnevalentine.com).
The EXILE iPad App is a major co-production between Aphids and Chamber Made Opera (chambermadeopera.com) and is the ultimate and dramatic combining of Greek tragedy, advanced digital media, new mobile technologies and contemporary music.
Set on a desolate coastline, Helen Gifford’s exquisite chamber opera EXILE explores the psychological state of Iphigenia as she reflects on her time as a high priestess of human sacrifices.
