Well that was infantile. Plus teaching a little kid to say the f-word repeatedly is utterly irresponsible.

I got bullied at school. Lots of people do. Lot's of straight people. You are not special. Grow up, toughen up, and deal with it: just like the rest of us had to.

Oh and marriage is 1 man + 1 woman. Deal with that too.
  • Diaz Bishop 1 year ago
So is teaching your kids to hate people for being different but hey what do I know.

They aren't protected the same way straight people are so until they get rights the same way a straight person would, they are the most special people ever.

And they do deal with it. I mean, many couples have gone to the grave, never being able to marry.
So I guess. One white man + one white woman. One black man + one black woman. Deal with it. Would still apply too? Get over yourself. I think your upset because you were bullied and didn't have a soul to stand up for you.
  • Ivor Biggun 1 year ago
    "hey what do I know."

    You said it.

"They aren't protected the same way straight people are"

They have the same marriage rights everyone else does. They get the same protection from bullies we all do, I.E. none. Deal with it.

The race fallacy is just that, since there is no comparison to be made between your sexual conduct and your skin colour.

"I think your upset because you were bullied and didn't have a soul to stand up for you."

I got over it, and learned from it. Give it a go.

There are people out there who want to "marry" roller coasters, animals, children, themselves, and multiple partners: and none of them constitutes a marriage in my eyes.

I'm tired of tip-toeing around some people's easily bruised feelings on this.
  • Christopher O plus 1 year ago
Ivor, you already lost. My generation and the younger generation support equality and do not share your dogmas and prejudices.

Just get old and become someone's homophobic grandfather who keeps insisting that a gay human being should have the same rights and respect as those possessed by a roller coaster or his cat.

Oh Ivor...you are 1 asshole troll on a giant internet. We're a movement of people to respect our fellow human beings. We're 200,000 dollars to fight his assanine stone-age beliefs. And we're the future of a more accepting world. Some people just can't let go of their bigotry. It's ok Igor, work it out.
  • Nick Gillin 1 year ago
Ivor, that's "irresponsible"? What's irresponsible is your view on homosexuality. Firstly, before you were a grandpa, there were many people in your high-school who were probably gay, but never came out and was proud. Now-a-days, people are finally being able too do that, because people like YOU, Igor, are senile old men still using words like "chinks" and "hair parlor". As you can see by all of these comments, no one, not a single person, agrees with you. Looking at people like you makes my ego skyrocket. I can tell by the way you talk about men and womans sexuality, you will be jacking it for the foreseeable future, be good to yourself now, use a quality lotion.

This is awful. Maybe the word "marriage" should be reviewed by the "world".... Maybe "Union" can count towards any happy union of two humans in love, regardless of race or religion, and "Marriage" can be used for those religions who have a belief in their systems. I have gay friends who are married who are happier than my straight friends, and I'm purely convinced that it took not only love, but the courage to come out and hope that people accepted them to make their relationships successful. That's already too much to make a happy relationship. In a world of divorce and separation and disjointed families among heterosexuals..... maybe our fellow homos have a lesson to teach? In any case, I'll read from their book as all are human beings who feel, love, cry, learn, teach, wallow, fret, and live just the same as everyone else. I love my friends. Gay, straight, purple or polka dot. They are all important humans in my world. Ivor, your comments and ideals are not welcome here. Go away. This page is for supporters who want to eradicate your kind.

I SUPPORT GAY MARRIAGE <3 I love these videos

  • Aearon 1 year ago
Wow... Just... Wow... First, let's look at the welcome message for Vimeo where this is hosted.
"Welcome to Vimeo! You have just joined a creative and respectful community of people who love to make and share videos with each other."
This is a respectful community, eh? I wonder how they can host a video telling people to fuck themselves for having a view that's different from the people creating and supporting the video.
I frankly have no problem with someone that wants to be gay. However, I DO have a problem with people that think this video has a good message.

Let's look further at each point of the video...
    1. 9 out of 10 "queer" kids are bullied? Welcome to school, everyone. It's not just "queer" kids that are bullied, MOST STRAIGHT KIDS are bullied at LEAST once in their life. Solution: Zero tolerance policies for ANY bullying whether it's about race, creed, sexual preference, etc.
    2. So, you're saying everyone in the video are atheists or agnostic? I find that hard to believe. Sure, there are some Christians that dislike or 'hate' gays for one reason or another whether it be simply their lifestyle or another offshoot of that. Does that mean ALL Christians or churches of other faiths share that view? No, it doesn't. Solution: Find a place of worship, a religion, or simply a group that shares YOUR set of beliefs and be happy. It's all about choices.
    3. Some parents 'bully' or abuse their STRAIGHT kids. I know, it's unbelievable, right!? Like OMG! That was sarcasm by the way for those of you that didn't catch it. Once again, just because it can and has happened doesn't mean it happens frequently or is even the norm.
    4. We all know the separation of church and state is and always has been non-existent. "In GOD We Trust.", "One nation under God.", etc. And you think it's surprising that Marriage is defined as a Man and a Woman as it has been for ages? Do you 'really' think that not being able to marry each other pushes them to kill themselves? I think not. Anyone that even attempts to commit suicide had problems LONG before they wanted to marry someone of the same sex. Sure, gays and lesbians will get the right to marry the same sex eventually just as every other group in history (women, blacks, etc.) has received rights.

And then your group threatens violence upon anyone that doesn't share your view after you preach YOUR hate for those that don't share your view? Really? Yay hypocrites! I love contradicting myself in the same breath. Don't you?

How about we follow in the steps of peaceful, non-violent, benevolent leaders like Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and Martin Luther King Jr..

One of my favorite quotes from Gandhi is "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." Does anyone that LOVES this video SOOO much even understand what that means? Or is it 'cool' to perpetually cultivate a never-ending cycle of hate?

You say, "fuck hate" but you really don't even come close to what you're even saying here. All you're doing is creating more and more hate with videos like these. How about you truly practice what you preach?
  • Sheyna Ramone 1 year ago
Are we watching the same video? It's abundantly clear to me that the message in the FCKH8 videos and merchandise is simply "Fuck Haters." There's nothing new about that phrase, it's just being used for the sole purpose of anti-gay bullying and marriage equality here. I think it's an amazing campaign! Yes, you're right, almost every child is bullied at some point in there life but if you've been paying attention to the video (or the news for that matter) you'd realize that almost ever gay child is bullied RELENTLESSLY and that LGBT youth suicide is practically an epidemic right now!! Have you seen the "It gets better" campaign? Are you opposed to it as well? Is it possible that you mistook the cussing and anger in this video for violence? I honestly don't understand why you'd think this video would perpetuate a cycle of hate. Unless, of course, you're not saying what you mean.

This is a horrible video. Gay people are protected under the same laws as everyone else. if they are assaulted, the person(s) who did it gets charged. They don't need special rights. I'm straight and i don't have the right to marry another guy either. guess we're equal there too. I'm currently in university, and throughout high school i was bullied. I dealt with it without making internet videos where little children talk about violence in horrendous language. i have nothing against gay people. I have gay friends. but there is nothing unfair about the world as it sits.
  • Ben Margetic 1 year ago
"I'm straight and I don't have the right to marry another guy either. Guess we're equal there too." That is litterally the exact same argument that was used to perpetuate bans on interracial marriage "It's fair because a white person can't marry a black person either." This claim was thrown out by the courts in Loving v. Virginia because it's stupid.

It just goes back to separate but equal, you don't have a desire to marry a guy, but I do. If you can marry who you love why can't I?

Also you weren't relentlessly bullied because of your sexuality, you were bullied because some prick thought it would be fun to take your lunch money. Not because they hated, or misunderstood you.

Jake Rahl - you're amazingly uninformed.

So gay people are protected under the same laws as everyone else? Really, can you tell me the countries where being straight is not only illegal but carries the DEATH PENALTY? No? can't think of any? For your information there are 9 member states of the UN that carry the death penalty for being gay.

As for 'special rights', how about the right to marry your chosen partner, adopt a child, visiting rights in hospitals? Sound special to you? I guess you would you just expect to have those things?

Lets talk about how fair the world is. 76 countries around the world criminalise homosexuality, the UN recently removed the protection of gays and lesbians from a resolution which condemns extrajudicial, summary and arbitrary executions, paving the way for some of those countries to execute gay people without even a trial.

Maybe some of your fictitious gay friends could have told you some of these facts before you made dumb comments on forums.

The fact about gay marriage and equal rights is going to happen sooner or later. Enough of the old bigots will die and their much less prejudiced children and grandchildren will be running things. Once this happens, there will be even more equality in the world.

Also, Zak, hate to break it to you bro, but you're being ignorant right now calling non-retarded people retards. That is equally offensive to using gay as a derogatory work.

I'm getting really sick of people saying that I can't marry the person I love because of lame excuses like "God hates fags" and "If we let you marry the same sex, another person may want to marry a dog."

    It's getting old.

    1. It's not your life, you don't even have anything to do with it. Why can't you just let other people be happy whatever way they want to be?

    2. If you were a true follower of God, you'd know it isn't your place to judge.

I just want to be happy. I didn't choose to be this way. I've tried being straight, and it just doesn't work.

Whatever happened to the right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?"

In Europe way back when it was legal for gays and lesbians to marry it happened among the nobles. It's history look it up. What else is history many of the same arguments that are being used to ban gay and lesbian marriage are the same exact ones that were used to first try and ban African American men and women from marrying each other and then from allowing them to marry EuroAmericas... so if history teaches us anything it is that when enough people stand up for what is right the nay sayers usually end up fading into the background and going away. As far as equating gay marriage to beastiality first your sick secondly animals do not have the capacity to consent to anything where as human (the top of the food chain for a reason) do. God made everyone, God does not make mistakes. Besides variety is the spice of life and this world would be pretty damn boring if everyone were Blond haired blue eyed ultra conservative christians... oh snap did i just describe the nazi? I guess I just call them as I see them.

Rock On Guys! Homosexuality was something that could not be talked about where I'm from either. Though I did have a teacher that didn't care and helped me through a very hard time in my life, so for all you teens and kids out there that know you are different, there is a light at the end of the tunnel keep on going it will get better.

Love the video! One criticism: What the hell is this crap about "fundraising to prevent suicide?" Fuck that. Eliminate the haters, like Ivan. Keep them in their place: powerless. You can't play nicely then you will be put into a political corner. We will never be able to out-fundraise the haters, so don't try. We have something better: numbers. WE are the majority and it's fucking time we act like it. Fuck tolerance. We should tolerate bigotry like we tolerate cancer: not a bit. It's up to us living in safe big cities to reach out to our queer brothers, sisters, and in-betweeners to lift them up to our level and leave no one behind.

About the only redeeming value from this video was at 0:45 . Yes, Jesus does love the little children. But Jesus would never have taught the little children, as you have, to use foul language and to accept sexual immorality. And yes, the sarcasm toward Jesus was noted. If I were you, and if I had made this video, I would pray and ask for forgiveness. And now I challenge you: Please do not hate me. :-)

Jesus people really do bash this thing.... Okay.. point is they know that teachers as well as students are bullys to gay people.. i could understand if it was just the students.. but often the teachers join in on the harassment to tease the gay child... me being Lesbian in highschool had to go through the same thing... and back then being gay or lesbian is worse then it is now... And a zero tolerance policy is already in effect in 48 of the 50 states... how well is it working out? not very well as you can see... The bullies that i went through made me turn to drugs for stress reliefe and i was lucky to break that habbit... Anyone who Bashes any of thes videos shouldnt watch them.... because these people have tryed to respect the other voters.... and they got shit on for it... now they take matters into there own hands by sending a strong clear message to the populace.... if your bashing these videos your doing exactly what you want them to do by saying suck it up because your going to get more people to join there cause like i have... Gay marriage should be supported under federal law.... thats what i think...

A lot of people are bothered by the word "fuck" being said so much. Well, its not said anymore than most people say it during the day, hear in other media or by the people around them. I wish these videos were around when I was in high school because there were a few teachers I would have loved to show them too. I was a GSA member and every day heard teachers make anti-gay comments and even brought kids to tears but it was somehow acceptable. Fuck that and FCKH8

Dear Everyone Saying it's bad they used the word "fuck",

Calm yourselves. Don't take this too seriously. Serious message, light-hearted delivery. If you don't want kids seeing it don't let them. That is YOUR responsibility.

    K thanks. Love you guys,
    Andrew
