Each week our Intro to Studio Television class at American University produces one or two short episodes of "DC Free," a TV short we have created about free things to do in Washington, DC.
Here is a sneak peak at a segment from episode two on the Unplugged Open Mic at Modern Times Coffeehouse at Politics and Prose Bookstore. You can attend the open mic most Fridays at Modern Times Coffeehouse (moderntimescoffeehouse.blogstpot.com & moderntimescoffeehouse.com), located within the basement of Politics and Prose (politics-prose.com/) from 8pm-11pm; sign up for the mic starts at 7:30pm.
During the making of episode two I worked in field production with a group of 5 other students to set up, organize, film and edit three different segments. This clip is the first segment we worked on.
Special thanks to Maureen Nelson and Javier Rivas for making this segment possible!
