The Cigarette Is Dead
Cool motion graphics piece we've been working on for a national anti-smoking campaign. Forward the video on or visit the website at thecigaretteisdead.com.

(sorry- no pun intended;)
Finally, I'm lacking purposeful pauses that let some of the strong textual statements sink in. Right now, things drive on at too much of a breakneck speed for me right now.
As the video mentions, there are new clean air laws sweeping nations. This is the only measure that should be taken. Cigarettes shouldn't be abolished unless EVERYTHING that releases potentially dangerous chemicals into our "clean air" is also abolished.
I quit smoking 3 month ago and now I fell much better and save my health and money.
But I needed 19 years of smoking to think clear about cigarets and the killing results of it...
Good luck for your campaign!!!
Also great technical work on the motion graphics.
Looks great.
I've been seeing a good amount of this kind of thing where text is the main graphic and it kind of moves around itself and morphs into the next word.
The Red White and Black reminds me of some kind of Stalinistic style work, which I'm actually a fan of. Very strong, but simple and effective.
Great work!
Nextime include Slovenia with one of the most restrictive laws in Europe ;)
Any information on tools/prog. used to produce the piece
thx.
... Because it's not really dead?
i'm just kidding, i love smoking. those little soldiers help you a lot oon those lingering endless nights of rendering.
At the beginning, I wasn't able to read anything, the text changed so fast...
but later, it was just right. :)
I smoke...
But I do have to agree with misha korea in saying that the pace seemed a little rushed. I think you lose some of the impact if there isn't pace variations and "purposeful pauses" as misha referred to them.
Otherwise, it was an outstanding piece that you guys should be very proud of! Can't wait to see more.
I just strated using motion myself about a week ago.
Good inspiration.
¡Muy bueno!
parabens!!!!
How many lives have you saved!
Thanks for your time.
