Exit is collaboration between Mohanad Yaqubi and Jean Gaudin that explores new forms of expression.
The London underground, as a location, is an integral part of the concept; however, it does not reveal itself and its identity at any point. Rather, it reveals an over-designed space consumed with sharp lines: a vision of the future coming from the past. It also holds the theme of transporting, outside of time, outside of defined space.
Is it a film? Is it a performance or a piece of video art? Is it the work of the film director or the creation of the choreographer? Or is it simply a documentation of a dance? The film raises these questions, leaving it open to the audience to find his/her own exit, a way of fear, out of ignorance, a way to be re-born.
