Plugins? bones, skin, ect...
I used a nice bunch of plugins and scripts. Hair Farm for the fur, SkinFX for the muscles, GrowFX for the bushes on his back, WrapIt for retopo, Outliner for workflow speedup, my own Super Simple Rigging Tools, Brazil r/s for rendering and RPManager for pass management. And probably several more...
