My first experimental film and my Intro to Film Theory final project. The original concept was to make a comedy about how Heaven is a socialist society. The idea was scrapped because the theme was so similar to a movie I later made called 'Citizen Prophet'.
Because I wanted so badly to dedicate something to my friend who passed away, Trevor, I revived the idea and the title for my Theory project. The plot is based off a poem I wrote in High School called 'I'll Be Waiting in Heaven'. Since coming to the University of Iowa, I have for the first time been exposed to the world of avant garde filmmaking. It doesn't necessarily appeal all that much to me but I thought I'd give it a try anyway as it was necessary for my final.
The "soundtrack" is an ambient noise slowed down and reversed.
