Roach Love - Seaberg Acrobatic Poetry
Dennis Coburn, the exterminater, is unaware of the extent that the Art Farm has been takeb over by the roachs as they perform Ronnog Seaberg's poem "Roach Love" (acrobatic poem #31). Costumes and movement by Steve Seaberg.
ROACH LOVE
When you love somebody
You must face the deepest slime
in their heart
and love their art.
If he or she has a cardboard head
you kiss it
before you go to bed.
When you fall in love
the loved one, too,
must face the worst in you.
Your lifelong embrace
may seem bizarre
from afar.
A scar in love
with a scar.
Undressed inside the limber shell
you know so well
the smell.
Eccentric, plain and hollow
She may be
the one to follow
and he
his hands full of roses
What a metamorphosis!
