    "In and out, back and forth"...I'm getting turned on here.......

    I've been reading a textbook actually called "Building for Health" which has got to be published during the same era this film was made.

    I personally love the visual style and nature during this era...

    there was a sort of weird facist homoeroticism going on in the late forties - early fifties. I guess you become what you kill....

    I expect the U.S. to become more Iraqi in the future.

    I'm glad that I'm not the only one who got a "Hitler Youth" vibe from watching this. Great clip, Alex. You never fail to impress.

    I saw that too but it was first because of the hand movement at the beginning and the close shot of Erny. Then I thought I should be wrong because it was probably more to avoid losing his balance. So I didn't know what to think.

    When I first watched it, the original footage reminded my of Leni Riefenstahl's "Triumph of the Will." Spooky.

    I think Remyyy stumbled on a goldmine when he found that exercise movie. Thanks for joining the project. There's an impressive blending of sound with images here, and I liked the use of the ghosting effect (if that's the right word).

    not sure what you mean, but I've been thinking about sampling clips from vimeo to build some sort of larger (semi narrative?) piece.
