It's nice there, but there are bad parts in every place.
My family hails from Trinidad & Tobago - and the majority of "the clan" still reside on the island.
There has always been a direct corelation between the island's prosperity and the increase in crime, whereby, in times of plenty, there is a dramatic increase in violent crime, and in times of need - a decrease in the violence.
Being a developing nation, Trinidad faces many obstacles. But programs and more importantly - opportunities, are essential for young people to find another avenue other than violent or criminal behaviour. My congratulations to those who are getting involved - and thank you Glen for bringing some of these issues to light.
Glen, you captured parts of the island perfectly - were you able to travel into Belmont (or should I say, did you dare?). Having spent a lot of time in Trinidad - there are still parts of the island, I wouldn't venture into.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks for your kind words and taking the time to watch. I was in Belmont for only a few hours with police. I did want to film at night but a lot of officials stopped me, including those at Belmont police station.
An amazing country full of amazing people that is really giving it a go to give kids a choice.
thanks again, glen

I had the opportunity to interview Tiga on another project.
Why haven't we seen this in Trinidad though?
Would be nice for you to submit to our annual film festival: trinidadandtobagofilm.com
I will also post to my fb page.
Again, nice job.
Tiga is a really nice guy! Was a pleasure to follow him around for a bit.
best, glen
Stay strong ....
