Ghosts in the Shell: An investigation of the relationship between automation and the nature of work
1 year ago
Here is a video version of the presentation for my dissertation defense (except the nerdy slides with regression tables and such have been removed). The dissertation was titled, Ghosts in the Shell: An Investigation of the Link Between Automation and the Nature of Work.
Left to its own velocity, the video below will scroll through slides at a rate of 100 slides in 2 minutes and 45 seconds. To experience this presentation at a more reasonable speed: (a) enter full screen mode for the video (click the four arrows that point to the four corners icon within the embedded video) and then (b) use your space bar to stop the video on slides you want to look at more closely or for longer than 1-2 seconds. The actual presentation, with questions and comments from committee members, took 90 minutes.
Enjoy.
