Here is my first actual attempt at time lapse. I filmed about 6 scenes, but 2 of them I was zoomed in and I guess the camera shifts a little between each picture taken, which caused it to jitter a lot, so I just removed those scenes. I guess I won't zoom in any more.
My Process:
This was created with my Canon 40D, 200 stills each scene, 5 seconds apart. (the last scene cause it was night was done with 8 second exposures at 15 seconds apart). After the photos were taken, I used Lightroom to export the photos after some minor color adjustments. Then I used VirtualDub with the MSU Deflicker filter to fix the flickering. It was actually pretty easy, in VirtualDub, I simply selected the 1st photo in the group, it found the rest of the photos, then applied the picture and created new jpg's deflickered. I then took all those JPGs, and imported them into Premier Pro CS3 (each photo was 1 frame). Scaled the frame to fit the window (originally 3888x2592) scaled to 1920x1080. Exported it as a MPG2 at 25mbps. Then created a new movie in 720p to zoom my shot in and scale it to the right ratio to get rid of the black borders on the left and right of the photos.
