Though channelized and unnatural, urban waterways are essential to human health -- especially when they're home to half a million people. Cincinnati's Mill Creek has had a legacy of hazardous industrial waste and a growing population. With a system called combined sewer overflow, raw sewage is funneled into Mill Creek when storms hit hard. The Mill Creek Watershed Council of Communities is hard at work bringing the 37 communities of Mill Creek together for a positive future for this urban waterway.
