AFRICA10 is a character-based feature documentary about the incredible spirit of soccer in Africa. We feature five inspiring stories from across the continent, intercut with commentary from famous Africans including Kofi Annan, Desmond Tutu and players such as Michael Essien, Emmanuel Adebayor and Roger Miller. AFRICA10 illustrates, in a dramatic and visual way, how soccer is helping Africans lift themselves up.

We have filmed for over a year and are so close to finishing the film. We are looking for $7500 to finalize our rough cut and show that to broadcasters who have already expressed an interest in the film. We have participated at prestigious documentary festivals such as the Toronto Documentary Forum (Hot Docs 2010) and at the Good Pitch (Tribeca Film Festival 2010) where distributors have seen our trailers to date and await our rough cut to make a final decision. $7500 is the minimum amount we need to complete this important and exciting project but any more support than that will enable us to complete the film at a higher level.

We believe AFRICA10 will appeal to soccer fans and non-soccer fans alike. It’s a great way to tell the story of Africa today and, although it addresses serious issues such as housing, poverty and corruption, the film emphasizes positive aspects of Africa and how Africans are lifting themselves up in many ways but especially through a common love for a great sport. from the Black Eyed Peas shares our enthusiasm - he has come aboard AFRICA10 and is producing the soundtrack to the film.

We’ve put together an exciting package of rewards - if you make a contribution to AFRICA10, you’ll get something very cool back in return. Contributors can get apparel,, Ziggy Marley and Blitz the Ambassador signed items, soccer DVDs and more. All contributors will receive credit on our website and, if you put in $250 or more, your name will feature in the credits of the film. For more details, please check out our Kickstarter page.
