First test of my interactive, robotic string instrument – String Trees. The motor driving the plucking arm is connected directly to a DC power supply. Eventually this will be controlled by a microcontroller for precise tempo control and synchronization between multiple instruments, creating a kind of large-scale physical string sequencer.
