A professor at Rider University became involved with Special Olympics bowling because her daughter has Down Syndrome. Now she runs a league that meets once a week that involves athletes with cognitive disabilities partnered with helpers, who do not have disabilities.
At the end of the season, usually around March or April, they participate in a state competition.
