On December 8, AJC launched a series of live video webcasts: “Around the World with AJC” at live.ajc.org.
On our first leg of the trip, AJC featured AJC's representative in France, Simone Rodan-Benzaquen, an expert on France’s foreign policy in the Middle East, delegitimization of Israel in Europe, transatlantic relations, Anti-Semitism in France, and minority issues in Europe. Recently, Simone, along with AJC’s David Harris and Jason Isaacson, met with Michele Alliot-Marie, the newly appointed French Foreign Minister; AJC was the Foreign Minister’s first meeting with any group outside the Ministry. Joining Simone was the Consul General of France in Los Angeles, David Martinon, the former spokesperson for French President Nicolas Sarkozy. AJC’s Rabbi Gary Greenebaum, U.S. Director of Interreligious & Intergroup Affairs, moderated the discussion.
