Mary Robinson founded Realizing Rights in 2002 as a fixed term initiative to develop new alliances aimed at integrating human rights, gender equality, and enhanced accountability into efforts to address global challenges and governance shortcomings.
On 14 December 2010, Realizing Rights celebrated the culmination of its joint endeavours and looked ahead to the opportunities for new beginnings.
