Imagine sitting in a classroom with 20 or so people all younger and brighter than yourself. That was me in Dr. Conniry's Preaching Class. Like Hebrew and Greek, I had no choice. I had to be there to graduate. I believe almost everyone in the class was already a pastor or serving in that role. Me? I am a rope holder. I do not want to lead a church. Here is my first sermon, message, thought ... whatever, and probably my last.
