This new documentary follows 3 British Council Climate Champions Minh, Hiep and Duong before, during and after their visit to the biggest ever climate change conference - COP 15 in Copenhagen 2009 - the one Barack Obama went to! Going with a mission to learn, share, network and bring back insights into how to take action, each Climate Champion has their own personal journey of exploration and discovery as they negotiate the conference events, the city of Copenhagen and meet other British Council Climate Champions from around the world. They film everything on their own video cameras to ensure the record can be shared back home.
On returning to Vietnam we follow them in their quest to stop the talking and take action - Minh as a climate activist, Duong as an educator and Hiep as a green business expert. Each comes to their own conclusions about what it means to fight against climate change and realise that in reality it is up to them to act because it is everyone's future at stake. With an original sound track composed by Duc Tri, the film gives a unique contemporary insight into how young people in Vietnam are motivated to take action. Climate Champions Vietnam was commissioned by the British Council Vietnam and is an ensemble films production.
