    great images!
  •
  • прикольно, но ролик ничем не закончился, некоторые кадры казались перетянутыми, иногда хотелось чтобы происходящее было замедленным. ну и мелкая дрожь картинки изза отсутствия стаба.
    Верблюд - респект.

  • Daniel Skogli 1 year ago
There is something beautiful about the desert landscape, history written in time and the warm colors that attracts and makes me want to go filming and traveling in the middle east and Africa.

Really nice work. Great attention to everyday life and details =)
  • Daniel Skogli 1 year ago
Yes you are right a little typo there, it should say middle east and Africa.

    Thanks for pointing it out.
    Cheers

how to graded color liek that..
    warm and cool..
    the blueish is very nice..
  • bwwd 1 year ago
he graded it with CMYK color profile and bumped Cyan colour up.Most modern movies are graded like that.
  • Cheng See Yuan 1 year ago
And how it is done? does one need any particular software for that?
  • Filipe Figueira 11 months ago
I would love to know more about this process. Great job.
Can someone point to some links?
  • bwwd 11 months ago
Im using virtualdub CMYK film color plugin or gradiation curves plugin and then switch to CMYK color profile(its not possible in RGB profile)
    Here ,originals are bottom ones:
    imgur.com/vYpJa.jpg
On this one its visible on doors,green/blueish tint like in many modern movies
    imgur.com/SCiR2.jpg
I dont know what you guys have so i cant help there. So in CMYK you need to bump up Cyan colour to achieve this.
  • Cheng See Yuan 11 months ago
That is really cool! really thanks a lot for sharing...
  • bwwd 11 months ago
you need to white balance properly to make this effect work tho, never white balance towards orange/peach colour, try to balance towards blue a bit more, but not too much ,just avoid white balancing into peach tint cause in order to correct it like that with cyan you need to have a lot of blue channel in your vid ,if theres too much red then sometimes you need to bring down red channel in darks to make it work.
  • Cheng See Yuan 11 months ago
Thanks for the further explanations :)
I am a Sony Vegas user... Do you use the 32-bit or 64-bit virtualdub?

why there are no women in this movie? is this normal in Syria? i mean at the out side, on the streets... The film is great anyway :)
  •
  • Michele Johnson 1 year ago
lots of very poetic shots Ruslan - you have a great eye. Thanks for the insight into Syria - and Rafal's question is a good one - we did see a woman making a flat bread over a stone but I can't remember any others. Is is culturally inappropriate to film women? or are they just not so visible, just not in the public eye?
  • Ruslan Fedotow plus 1 year ago
Thanks. Most women do not see the person they closed it. Men are not happy when I'm shooting women in the street.

The video quality is stunning. your 50mm 1.8, does it have IS on it (and who makes it)? also what did you set ISO to? man, the quality of this video absolutely blows me away! (I ask about lenses because I'm looking into buying a prime 50mm but cant decide what to get). Anyone have any suggestions?
  • Ruslan Fedotow plus 1 year ago
