I am wondering if you were reading the FOJG boards and heard us talking about wanting a blog update. ;) The timing was just too good. THANKS, this is perfect! Just you, at home being you. Loved it! Poop on the critics, they wouldn't know something good and worthwhile if you shoved it up their butts. I LOVED what you did on the Emmys. Please go into some detail next blog as to how long it took you to memorize that and who arranged such a great piece. That had to of been hard to piece that all together let alone sing it. AMAZING piece that just showcases what you are capable of. My gosh, the tempo/genre/range changes would do in most singers, and probably most could not even do it. Cartman had my mouth gaping and then cracking up. :D

Tell us more about "Life is a Masquerade" that you did with Ben Folds. That was fantastic! I don't suppose you have any video of you hitting that falsetto...."I never should have staaaayed" That was out of this world! Another mouth gaping moment. I was like, holy crap is that Josh? I loved the harmony on it. Great song. Keep doing just these sort of blogs. Thanks for the update. Sorry to ramble. We love you!

The Emmy's - WOW - you were absolutely fantastic. I know I posted this on the threads, but what a feat of musical accomplishment. I am blown away at your timing from one song to the next. I am sure it was not an easy task. As Ryan Seacrest mentioned on his radio show, after you called in - if you had messed up even a bit, it would have thrown the whole bit off - but you were right on! Dash the critics that took it all to seriously and critically - they have no sense of humour.

I watch it several times a day when I need a good pick me up. Evidently the critics have no idea what fun really is. They're not worth thinking about. Just ignore them if you can.

The Emmy medley was FABULOUS, (the Fresh Prince rap took the cake, you ROCKED that!) the only bright spot in a severely lagging show - and you're so right - some people DO need to lighten up about it. I loved it of course, you were so funny! Go big or go home, right!? You were looking very handsome too (guess who was on one of the 'best dressed' lists on t.v. earlier =) I'm happy to hear that you're writing allot on this album, creatively that must be really satisfying. The songs you've written always end up being my favorites in the end, they feel different, they're just more you somehow =) And how flippin cool is the Domingo duet gonna be?! I'm so excited to hear it, and yes, that is very cool that he's a nice guy too. Not everyone who's that amazingly talented is. But that's so good to hear. I hope everything is okay, I couldn't tell for sure, but you seemed a little sad in the beginning of your blog. Or maybe you were just sleepy, since it was 2am? Well, either way, big (((HUGS))).

I just wanted to congratulate you on your absolutely spectacular performance at the Emmy's. Your plethora of talents has once again proven to be immeasurable. I was particularly excited to see 'Friends' and 'The X-Files', two of my all-time favorite shows, represented in such a hilarious way! Oh, and your Chandler-style slow-motion 'Baywatch' run was a total riot! The classic variety show hosts and SNL cast have nothing on you. :-)
I also wanted to quickly say that I was completely delighted by your performance with Chris Botti and Sting in Boston. Amazing! Having just moved to Boston a year ago to go to grad school, I had been dying to see the Pops for the first time. It was that much more of a treat to see you and that wonderful lineup of artists perform with them.

So - Boston was great - you were great and I agree about Sting, he didn't seem too patient and even though he's one of the "Greats", he just seemed way to serious & should loosen up a bit. The Long Island Girls were there for you and we had a blast at the concert and in Boston especially feeding the squirrels, by hand, in the park! Who would have figured that the squirrels would have been so much fun.

The Emmy's were fantastic and you sounded so good and looked like you were having a ball - loved everything about it. Loved the look on your face while singing the theme song from Cops!

Yay! A new vlog!!

The Emmy thing was great! I agree that many of the critics took it way too serious. My favorite part changes every time I watch it...though the Prince of BelAir is right up there. And Cops...and South Park.

I'm glad you had such a great time at the Emmy's . I really enjoyed your performance, partly because it was fun to hear all those old song bits, but mostly because you had such a fun time with it.
Critics? Who cares what they think? A critic is only someone telling you what THEY thought, not what the whole world has expressed to or through them. You're right, they need to lighten up!

Great blog Josh. I loved, loved, the Emmy performance. I could tell you were going all out, pure energy. The depth of your talent amazes me. I really think you either need your own special or your own show :) You could call it "Just Joshin Around"...okay, that was pretty bad.

Boston was amazing! Billy Kilson's drum solo blew me away, Chris Botti's rendition of Hallelujah was a touching tribute to Jeff Buckley, Lucia was her usual brilliant beautiful self, and Josh, you sounded so really wonderful. I wish I could have told you that after the show, and I would have loved to sing another song for you like at Tanglewood, but the stage door was swamped. Oh well. Great job at the Emmy's too, Josh!
