Horseback archery ( jap. Yabusame ) is an old traditional japanese martial art. samuraidave.wordpress.com/2006/08/07/yabusame-japanese-horseback-archery/
I took this movie last weekend here in Tokyo as an experiment for shooting high speed movements with my JVC-HD3. Not easy to catch these fast guys, as it should not have been easy for them to hit the target. Amazing art and I hope to get some better background scenery, when it will take place in Zushi on the beach in November.

A little more shaky than your usual videos, but I really loved the freeze frames you got - great shots!

Thanks Philip ... and actually I am happy, that it became so less shaky ... hahaha ... these guys are speedy and hard to lock on. I think, there will be another Yabusame in Zushi in autumn at the beach. Why not challenging it together ?

The Yabusame in Zushi should be on the 16th November. I often have to work especially at the weekend, but I hope, that I can make it that day. Mata renraku shimasu ;-)))
