Many men make futile, stabbing attempts at greatness, only to be rebuffed like gnats flying repeatedly into a plexi-glass generated reflection of themselves. Other men achieve greatness, and sit behind the plexi-glass barrier of success, sipping on cane sugar caipirinhas and watching gnats kamikaze futilely from the other side. Klaus Wolfenstein falls into the latter category, and his tale is one of carefully measured immeasurability.

Steve, you're right; Klaus has always been particularly weak with mathematics and we're having a tutor work with him before the next web short.

An historic tribute to Klaus "Rex Aerobiorum" Wolfenstein.
    Congruntulations.

PS Is it pronounced "stine" or "steen" ?
Posterity will demand HD clarity on this fundamental issue.
  • Boat Safety Films plus 1 year ago
The family Wolfenstein has endured many mispronunciations of its surname, the correct pronunciation of which remains mired in centuries of internecine family bickering and petty feuds. For example, the sixteenth century earl, Brunhild Wilhelm Von Wolfenstein was infamous for this quote during a ceremonial bavarian dinner: "how does [one] pronounce Wolfenstein? It is the same manner [in] which the badger hunts his quarry. But then, the badger is a scavenger, so [there's] that." Unable to find a direct answer to this question, historians have struggled throughout the modern era, as you now toil. Keep up the struggle though, someday posterity will reward us all: the curious, the brave, and the Wolfenstein.
  • Amenon plus 1 year ago
Thank you for your interesting and optimistic historic perspective on this important and critical aspect of the video.

Your mention of Graf Brunhild's notorious outburst reminds me of a rumour, mentioned in despatches now safely buried in the Vatican's Secret Archive, concerning the true reason for a famous duel which almost caused a diplomatic incident in the early eighteen-hundreds. Archbishop Hieronymus Van Der Wolfenstein fought his second-cousin twice-removed, the Viscount Wolfram Von Wolfenstein. Steel aerobies at thirty paces, at dawn in a cemetery after a quarrel at a gala party held by Metternich in Vienna. The bone of contention was, apparently, whether the initial syllable of the family surname should pronounced "Vohlf" or "Woolf".

Of course these ancient mysteries can only serve to add further lustre to the glorious fame of our noble Klaus Wolfenstein. In closing, some say the correct pronunciation is "Clowss", others swear by "Claws" (as in Santa).

The badger that speaks does not know.
The badger that knows does not speak.
    Ergo all badgers know.

You are more than right Mike, and as we previously stated Klaus is going through a rigorous tutoring program due to his slightly impaired mathematical skills. He is currently working on the dewy decimal system, and is excelling at the rate we want him to. He wanted us (Giga and I) to assure everyone that he is ready to "Murdinate" any real number in the world, but "'i' Knows what I am, I just don't know what 'i' is...". Thank you for your concerns.
